Last year's runner-up Odeliz crosses the Irish Sea for a fourth time for the Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Karl Burke's mare was beaten just a head by Vote Often in the Group Three event 12 months ago and went on to finish fourth in the Kilboy Estate Stakes at the same track, before placing third in another Pattern race at Gowran Park in September.

The five-year-old has been off the track since running a magnificent race to fill the runner-up spot behind compatriot Just The Judge in the EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine last autumn, but is reported to be in rude health.

Burke said: "She's wintered really well and looks terrific. We have no worries about the ground with her and hopefully she'll run a big race.

"She went to Southwell a couple of weeks ago and galloped really well. Daniel Tudhope rode her and he was really happy.

"She had the same preparation last year and this race is an ideal starting point. It's early in the year and it's hard to know where we are with the horses, but they seem in good form."

Odeliz is joined on the trip from Britain by Eve Johnson Houghton's Amulet, who has run numerous good races in defeat at Listed level.

"She improved a lot last year and was second in two Listed races in France. She loves soft ground," said the trainer.

"She's staying over in Ireland to be covered by Raven's Pass and then she's going to come back and run in foal."

Tommy Stack has won two of the last five renewals and is double-handed with Alive Alive Oh and Waltzing Matilda this time around.

The trainer's son and assistant Fozzy said: "Both of them seem in good shape and hopefully they'll run well. It's a good race and very solid Group Three. The horses all seem well, so fingers crossed."

Dermot Weld stuck gold last year with Vote Often and this season relies on Afternoon Sunlight.

Other contenders include Paul Deegan's Avenue Gabriel, Jim Bolger's Steip Amach and the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair Cocoon and Easter, with Ryan Moore partnering the latter.
