OIfa gives Weld and Smullen double An almost ten minute delay to the start of the seven furlong handicap at Leopardstown on Sunday proved no hindrance to Olfa who readily delivered with Pat Smullen in the saddle to win at 5/1. Independent Girl lived up to her name as she broke through the stalls and galloped round the track before being caught. This led to a nine-minute delay in proceedings as the remaining 17 runners waited in the stalls. Smullen and trainer Dermot Weld secured a double after Famous Name's earlier win. Olfa made good headway over a furlong out and was kept up to her work to beat Ondeafears(10/1) by a length and a quarter. Noble Four (16/1) and Three Way Stretch (28/1) completed the placings. Bankroll was sent off 9/2 favourite for Andrew Oliver and Chris Hayes, but he came home 11th. Kris Weld representing his father Dermot Weld, trainer of Olfa, said: "She got a nice gap and quickened nicely. She'll go for something similar." Michael Graham
