There was a significant delay to the start of race six in Clonmel as the doctor attended to Shane O'Callaghan who suffered a leg injury in the preceding race and, once racing resumed, Darragh O'Keeffe rode his second winner on the card aboard Our Uncle Jack (16/1 - 10/1).

The 10-year-old gelding made virtually all and was on good terms with himself turning for home in the Lisronagh Handicap Hurdle. O'Keeffe opted for the less churned-up ground on the far rail and the pair cranked up the pressure on their rivals two out.

They were clear approaching the last and sailed in by some 23 lengths as their rivals were routed. Courtbrack Boy took a remote second at 8/1 and was a length and a-quarter in front of Wild Wild Wind at 10/3.

Martin Fitzgerald said: "I walked the track beforehand and thought the inside was the best place to go, as it was deeper the more you went wide. He had been running on better ground at the end of last season, but the softer ground suits him better.

"He was always a very, very good work horse, but when he puts it together he is good, although he is only sport at this stage. He had a couple of very good runs, won at Tramore, and possibly with some luck he could have won a bumper.

"He had been a small bit inconsistent, but hopefully if we can keep him the way he is, he might pick up another one. He has age but is lightly raced and he'll stay going for another while."

O'Keeffe was also successful on Radiator Springs for Henry de Bromhead.
