Trainer Richard Fahey is to aim Parbold at the major two-year-old Sales races following his fine effort in the Coventry Stakes.

The smart youngster found only the impressive War Command too good in the Group Two at Royal Ascot following a debut win at York in May.

Parbold already has entries in several valuable prizes, including the Weatherbys Hamilton Insurance £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes at Doncaster and the £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Trophy at Newmarket.

"He's in the Sales races. They are hard races to bypass and we'll probably put him in the Gimcrack as well," the Malton handler told At The Races.

"He's quite a big horse and we haven't got stuck into him yet because he's still learning his trade.

"He's not just a two-year-old, he's a horse that will be a decent three-year-old.

"Wootton Bassett won two Sales races and then went for the Lagardere at Longchamp (in 2010). I'm not saying we will definitely go there with him but it's in my mind."
