Parlour Games off until the spring Former smart novice hurdler Parlour Games faces a spell on the sidelines after meeting with a setback. Trained by John Ferguson, the seven-year-old landed Grade One honours in the Challow Hurdle at the end of last year and was beaten only by Windsor Park in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. Second in another Grade One at Aintree, Parlour Games was third on his chasing debut at Cheltenham last month. Ferguson said: "Parlour Games is going to have a break as he just had a little problem after his run at Cheltenham. "We are just going to give him some time off and have him ready for the spring and hopefully he'll be bucking and kicking come then." Ferguson also had news of stablemate Qewy, who was fifth to Douvan in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and has also gone novice chasing, finishing third to Rock The World at Cheltenham. He said: "I was very pleased with Qewy's run at Cheltenham and hopefully he'll go to Kempton for another novice chase on November 23."
