With no racing again here until Thurles on Thursday, all eyes will be fixed on Ayr this afternoon, with no less than fourteen Irish trained horses making the journey across the Irish Sea.

Gordon Elliott brings across two, namely Layla Joan and Paudi The Punter.

The former lines up in the opener at 12:45, and having won her maiden hurdle recently at Fairyhouse, she is likely to go off favourite for this mares only novice contest.

Paudi The Punter takes his chance in the 3m 1f handicap chase at 1:45, and it will be interesting to see how the two time track winner fares on just his second start for Elliott.

Stuart Crawford will also be represented by two, and his McLovin looks to have solid claims in the second which goes to post at 1:15.

This fellow caught the eye when finishing second to Aklan on his last start at Navan, and he is sure to be a popular choice among punters here.

Crawford also saddles Little Boy Boru in the fifth at 2:50, while James Lambe (who brings across four horses) will be represented by City Of Doral.
