Precise steps up from debut to score in good style Precise showed the benefit of her debut run at Fairyhouse last month when taking the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden in good style at Cork. The daughter of Starspangledbanner showed good pace throughout in this seven-furlong event and took control from over a furlong out. The 3/1 shot kept on strongly inside the final furlong to beat Cape Sounion by two and three-quarter lengths with Ridersinthesky a further half a length back in third. Aidan O’Brien was represented by Chris Armstrong who said, “She had a lovely run the first day in Fairyhouse with Wayne (Lordan). He liked her and thought stepping up to seven would help her. “She’s a filly that is held in high regard and is well entered up. “It could be worth having a look at something like the Ingabelle (at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend) and she is one to look forward to.”
