PUBLIC FORUM ON HORSE RACING The Racegoers Consultative forum, established by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) to provide a voice for racegoers, will hold a public meeting in the Dunraven Arms Hotel, Adare Thursday, November 27th at 7pm, to hear the views of race enthusiasts in the South West region. The region includes Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Tralee, Killarney, and Listowel racetracks. The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, Mr. John O’Donoghue T.D. will officially open the Forum meeting which will be chaired by Brian Gleeson. The aim of the meeting is to attract members of the public with an interest in racing to come along with suggestions on how to improve the race day experience. It will be an excellent opportunity for the public to meet with regional members of the Forum, the racecourse managers and HRI and have a real say in how racing should be progressed in Ireland. The managers of all six racecourses in the region will be on hand to hear suggestions and queries from the public. The Forum will focus primarily on the needs of the racegoer, and will make a series of recommendations to HRI with a view to addressing the needs of the race-going public. The forum is FREE to attend.
