Rainbow works well around Epsom Leading Investec Oaks fancy Rainbow View delighted connections in a spin round Epsom as part of the 'Breakfast With The Stars' event this morning. Last season's champion juvenile filly was ridden by her big-race partner Jimmy Fortune in a workout alongside stablemate and Coronation Cup hopeful Expresso Star. They went down the hill and wide around Tattenham Corner with neither given too hard a time. Rainbow View finished about a length behind Expresso Star, who led all the way. 'She has done two nice pieces of work recently when she has gone five or six clear of the lead horse, but that was not the plan today,' said trainer John Gosden. 'If you go and join (Expresso Star) he'd say let's rip and we didn't want to run the Oaks today. The plan was to follow him, and we were very pleased with her. She is in great nick and we are excited to come here.' 'On pedigree she will get a mile and a quarter fine. I don't know about the other two furlongs but we have to come and find out. Jimmy said how relaxed she was - I think she's growing up, finally.' Rainbow View lost her unbeaten record when fifth in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on her reappearance, and remains second favourite at around 9-2 for the Oaks on Friday week. In other Oaks news, Jim Bolger confirmed that Cuis Ghaire will not run, and the Coolcullen trainer will instead be represented by Irish 1,000 Guineas third Oh Goodness Me.
