Robbie Power's thoughts on his rides at Sandown Jockey Robbie Power heads across the Irish Sea again this weekend to partner two horses at Sandown Park. The BoyleSports National Hunt Ambassador will ride in the first and last races on the card for Colin Tizzard. 12.15 Sandown — Fiddlerontheroof Fiddlerontheroof is a nice horse, he’s progressing along nicely. He was a very good 2nd at Chepstow to Thyme Hill who has since gone on to win impressively at Cheltenham. His form is rock solid. Two Miles around Wincanton last time was probably a bit on the sharp side so Two Miles around Sandown will be a tougher stamina test so hopefully he can lose his Maiden tag over hurdles. 3.35 Sandown — Royal Vacation Royal Vacation had a good run in a handicap chase at Wincanton where he came third in a very competitive race. Again this is a tough, very competitive handicap chase. The extended three and a half mile trip definitely won’t be a problem for him and he’s got plenty of experience on his side so hopefully he has a chance.
