Rock The World wins at Cheltenham Jessica Harrington, trainer of first race third placer, Sandymount Duke, enjoyed better luck in the squareintheair.com Novices' Chase as Rock The World made most of the running under Barry Geraghty. Just three runners went to post for the near-two-mile contest, but it did not lack intrigue. Even-money favourite Rock The World appeared to keen on with his job and was allowed to stride on at the head of affairs from the flag-fall. All three remained in with a chance rounding the home turn, with the Ferguson-trained Qewy looking the most likely winner approaching the final fence. However, not for the first time, he fluffed his lines in the jumping department and Rock The World stayed on best to take the prize by two lengths from Dormello Mo, with Qewy third. Harrington told Racing UK: "He jumped very well, but he's had a good practice all summer having won two and finished second three times. "Barry is adamant he wants further - I think two miles and two (furlong) is probably his ideal distance, but there are no two-mile-two races round here, so we'll either have to go two-one in a handicap or two-five in another handicap. "He's going to go on holiday now and won't run again until the spring. He's done me well this summer and deserves a break. "He'll run in March, April and May and on through the summer."
