Rogue Legend gets it right on second start After finishing second over the course and distance a fortnight ago, Rogue Legend went a place better when justifying favouritism in the opener at Cork this evening, the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden. Showing signs of greenness on debut, the Paddy Twomey-trained grey was more professional today, tracking the leaders on the nearside under Billy Lee. Ridden to lead with a furlong and a half to go, the 4/6 chance (10/11 early) soon drifted to his left, but found plenty in the closing stages to score by two-and-a-quarter lengths in the colours of the Rogues Gallery Partnership. Newcomer The Right One (80/1) kept on nicely to take second under Chris Hayes for Jarlath Fahey, while Baker Blue (5/1 from 8s early) was a short head away in third. "Like all of my two-year-olds on debut, he was good and green and was still green tonight," Twomey reflected. "He is a nice horse and natural progression has brought him forward. He wanted a tour of Cork on his debut and ran all around, but today was much better. "Connections would like to go to Royal Ascot and he has the option of the Windsor Castle Stakes but before then, there's a winners' race next Tuesday at Tipperary for him, so we'll see how he comes out of this. "This is Rogues Gallery's first horse in Ireland. They have horses in England and now France, so it is an expanding syndicate and 15 are here to enjoy this. I'm delighted they have chosen to send a horse to me." STEWARDS REPORTS * Jessica Maye, rider of Love Bomb, trained by W.
