Rubi in 'great form' ahead of Thurles return Rubi Light will return to action in the Listed Boomerang Animal Bedding And Boomerang Horse & Country Store Chase at Thurles on Thursday. The Grade One winner ended a losing run of 15 when victorious at the County Tipperary venue in February and followed up on his next start in a veterans' chase at Wexford. He then unseated at the third fence in the Grand National at Aintree before rounding off his campaign by finishing seventh of 18 in a grade A handicap at the Punchestown Festival. "He will definitely run on Thursday and he is in great form," his trainer said. "Andrew Lynch has been in schooling him a few times a weeks for the last couple of weeks and he has been working and schooling well. "The more rain the better for him and we will take it each day as it comes with him - at the moment he seems in great form. "He will probably get an entry in the National again but it's more likely that we will look at something like the Topham. "That might suit him better, but we will enter him in both."
