Ruby Walsh book launch Ruby Walsh will officially launch his autobiography next Wednesday 27th October at 7:30pm in Dublin's Liberty Hall Theatre, where he will discuss his many career highlights with Malachy Clerkin as well as signing copies of his book. Walsh (31) has already enjoyed a glittering career in the saddle making him Champion Irish Jump Jockey eight times including the last six years in succession. He hails from a great National Hunt dynasty being the son of former amateur champion jockey Ted Walsh, and first came to widespread prominence in 2000 by winning the Aintree Grand National at the age of 20 on Papillon, trained by his father. The Co. Kildare native has ridden over 1,600 winners to date, including 1,000 Irish winners, and rides for the two most powerful stables in Ireland and the UK namely Willie Mullins and Paul Nicholls. Big race success and Walsh have gone hand in hand over the past decade with the likes of Kauto Star, Big Bucks, Denman and Master Minded, and he became the winning most rider in Cheltenham Festival history this year when surpassing Pat Taaffe’s record of 25 wins. Tickets for the launch are €10 and can be purchased from the box office on 01 4487777.
