The rules regarding interference will be the same on both sides of the Irish Sea from May 1st it was announced today.

Under harmonisation measures between the Turf Club and the Jockey Club, riding offences will now come under three headings, namely, dangerous, careless and improper.

These will replace the current system where a rider could be disciplined for careless, intentional, reckless or improper offences.
