Alan McIntyre was fulsome in his praise of jockey Gavin Ryan who brought up a Bellewstown double aboard Private Larry (20/1) in the concluding Dore & Co. Solicitors Handicap.

The three-year-old gelding hadn't been placed in his six previous appearances and was up in trip to an extended mile-and-a-half today.

Ryan held him up in rear and the duo made headway entering the final three furlongs. They picked it up inside the '2' pole and moved clear in the final furlong. Victory was secured by three and a half lengths over Without Love (18/1). Each-way backers drew a return from Masego (8/1) and No Bother Aoife (12/1) in third and fourth respectively.

McIntyre said: "You'd be worried (about the trip) being by Inns Of Court, but Gavin thought a mile and a half is his trip. Gavin was adamant for a long time.

"It was a mile and one in Leopardstown and he broke really badly that day as well. I think today he broke a bit better. I know he was out the back, but Gavin has timed it perfectly.

"There's hurdling options as well. He has schooled a lot over hurdles.

"We have the option of going to Killarney in two weeks for the three-year-old maiden there. He jumps very well actually, he's a real natural jumper.

"I think hurdling should probably be his future. He really likes it and has taken to jumping very well.

"Gavin is a great fella and any time I need him to ride work he's there. He is attached to some big yards and is flying.

"I didn't want any jockey bar Gavin to ride him today because I just knew he would know him so well. He just gave him the perfect ride and crept away."

Ryan also won on Focaccia (7/1) for Fozzy Stack.
