Mouse Morris is eyeing the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park this month for Sams Profile.

The seven-year-old gelding had been sidelined for more than a year and a half before falling on chasing debut at Thurles in November.

He then took third behind Monkfish in another beginners' chase at Fairyhouse after which a rib injury came to light.

Morris said: “He fractured a rib when he fell at Thurles but we never realised it.

“He never showed any signs of being sore and we only discovered it after he finished third at Fairyhouse.

“He’ll probably go back over hurdles now for the rest of the season and we’re looking at running him in the Galmoy at Gowran.

“He’s been an unlucky horse but hopefully he’ll be alright and is going full throttle again.”

The Black Sam Bellamy gelding was runner-up twice in Grade One company as a novice over hurdles.
