Second jockey role for Scholfield Nick Scholfield has been appointed number two jockey at Paul Nicholls' powerful Ditcheat stables. Scholfield, who won the Grade One Tolworth Hurdle on Melodic Rendezvous at Sandown last season, heads over to Down Royal on Saturday to ride the Nicholls-trained Rolling Aces and Kauto Stone in the two feature races. Nicholls' first-choice jockey Daryl Jacob is currently on the sidelines, leaving Sam Twiston-Davies to partner Unioniste and Tidal Bay at Wetherby. Speaking in his Betfair column, the former champion trainer said: "You will see that all my runners at Wetherby [on Friday] are ridden by Nick Scholfield, who I have just signed up as my second jockey."
