Security & emergency services day at Dundalk A race day in honour of the security and emergency services will take place at Dundalk Stadium on the afternoon of Sunday 2nd September 2012. The event will feature a seven race horse card in the afternoon from 2.20pm alongside displays by personnel from the security and emergency services such as the Gardai, Coastguard, Army, Search & Rescue to name but a few, with vintage and present day vehicles and kids activities throughout the race day. Emma Meehan, marketing manger of Dundalk Stadium said: “The idea is to generate a greater awareness of the duties and responsibilities of the security and emergency service personnel and help create a greater respect for the life, commitment and experiences encountered by these professionals. With this in mind, the racing event is to honour these personnel whilst providing an interesting programme alongside the racing activity.” This is an ideal opportunity for families to enjoy one last outing before the school year commences alongside rewarding the security and emergency services for the wonderful job they do for us all. There are tickets available for all security and emergency services personnel to attend alongside their families; and all personnel are encouraged to contact Dundalk Stadium to seek these admission tickets ahead of the meeting on Sunday 2nd September.
