Shanahan & O'Shea enjoy Wolves double Pat Shanahan completed another successful raid on the UK today, recording a double at Wolverhampton with stable jockey Tadgh O’Shea. Shanahan brought three horses (all owned by Thistle Bloodstock Ltd) across to the West Midlands course, Dancing Cosmos, That’s Plenty and Dolce N Karama, with the first two mentioned duly obliging. Dancing Cosmos was sent off a 25/1 shot for division one of the 32Red Casino Handicap, but she belied those odds, hitting the front over a furlong out, keeping on strongly from there to score by three lengths. The three-year-old daughter of Holy Roman Emperor was recording her first win on her eleventh career start this evening. That’s Plenty completed the double in the 32RedPoker.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes, coming home an easy eight length victor. Sent off the 1-2 favourite, the three-year-old son of Dr Fong had been placed five times previous, but he got a deserved win to his name here, hitting the front well over a furlong out, going on to score easily. Newcomer Dolce N Karama was well-fancied to complete the treble in the fifth (8/1 to 5/1 on-course), but he could only manage a well-beaten fourth.
