Sheehan wins Tommy Whittle Seventh Sky (10/1) produced a mighty front-running performance to win the Tommy Whittle under top weight. Charlie Mann's horse was sent straight to the front under Gavin Sheehan and, in a race which saw several of the market principals make mistakes, got into a nice, controlled rhythm from an early stage. Turning for home there were several challengers lining up behind the leader but when Sheehan asked for an effort, his mount powered half a dozen lengths clear with two to jump as Cloudy Too (8/1) made a blunder which ended his chance. That left the unexposed Spookydooky (5/1jf) as the sole remaining challenger but he never looked like getting to Seventh Sky, who was able to run down the last couple on his way to a deserved seven-length success with Cloudy Too a further six back in third.
