Andy Slattery is hoping for an improved effort from Sunchart in the Group 3 Ormonde Stakes over an extended 1m5f at Chester on Thursday.

The Teofilo gelding weakened out of contention in the Listed Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan last month, however, on his previous start in Naas he chased home a winner in the same company.

Slattery said: “I think he goes on any ground but he just needed the run the last day in Navan as we missed a bit of work with him.

"He should improve and Pat (Garvey, owner) would like to go over.”

Sunchart could clash with fellow Irish raiders Bolshoi Ballet and Changingoftheguard who hold entries from Aidan O'Brien's stable.
