Small increase in on-course levy The IHA and the Irish National Bookmakers´ Association have reached agreement on an increase in the on-course betting levy, which will rise from 0.3 per cent to 0.5.An increase in the levy to one per cent had been sought in order to keep admission prices at tracks as low as possible. However following strong opposition from the INBA, a compromise figure has been agreed.INBA Chairman Francis Hyland has confirmed that his members will cover the increase and not pass it on to punters.
