Soumillon To Partner Run

Christophe Soumillon will ride Hurricane Run in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Churchill Downs on Saturday week.

The Belgian rider replaces Mick Kinane, who partnered Andre Fabre's four-year-old in the Champion Stakes last time out.

Kinane is now likely to ride Aidan O'Brien's Scorpion in the same race.

Soumillon is no stranger to success aboard Hurricane Run after the pair teamed up to good effect when winning the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes in July.

Fabre told the Racing Post: 'Soumillon will ride, but to be fair, the jockeys are the least of my concerns.

'The ability of the horse and the conditions are my main concerns.

'I don't know what the ground will be like.

'We'll declare, he's going to go, he's going to run and I would remind you that he has already won races on good to firm ground.'
