Spinning strikes for Donnacha O'Brien Spinning Around quickened up well to run out a cosy winner of the Keadeen Hotel Irish EBF Fillies Handicap at the Curragh for Donnacha O’Brien. Paddy Harnett produced the daughter of Australia to lead over a furlong from home in the seven furlong contest and she soon settled matters. The 8/1 shot was in control in the closing stages as she posted a length-and-a-quarter win over Green Carrera. It was a second career success for Spinning Around, who had scored on her final start of last season at Dundalk in October. She had been fourth on her return on the all-weather in late March. "She works like a stakes filly at home and, always has. Paddy gave her a lovely ride today,” said O’Brien. “I think good ground is important to her. It’s nice to get another win into her.  Regarding stepping up in trip, O'Brien added: "She is Australia, she should probably need a lot further than this. “I thought, if she gets in, handicap wise, the Sandringham would be perfect for her at Ascot."
