A double for Jessica Harrington at Leopardstown during the week was another signal for punters to keep the Commonstown runners on side in the coming weeks. There are few the County Kildare team are looking forward to more this summer than Hotazhell.

The Group One winning two-year-old signalled a fruitful campaign could well lie ahead with this third placing on reappearance in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.

“If it’s wet he could go to Ascot and failing that there is a mile and a half Group 2 in France for three-year-olds only that we might go to," revealed Mrs Harrington.

“We just don’t want to run him on good to firm ground.

“If he does go to Ascot, it will be the St James’s Palace.

“He’s come out of his run brilliantly — really, really well.”
