Stack sprinter heads to Scotland Tommy Stack will saddle a rare runner at Musselburgh as Nero Emperor makes the journey over for Saturday's William Hill Scottish Sprint Cup. The lightly raced Dundalk winner was a well-beaten last of nine on his seasonal reappearance at Naas in April, but ran more encouragingly when fourth at Tipperary last time. On both occasions the four-year-old cut out the early running and Fozzy Stack, son and assistant to his father, believes he will benefit from being dropped in off what should be a strong pace in Scotland this weekend. Stack said: "There's a good pot there, the ground should suit him and there is plenty of pace in the race, which should be good for him as he'll be able to get a lead. "He finds it very hard to get cover in races here, but there are plenty of quick ones in against him so hopefully it will make it easier for Shane (Gray, jockey) to get him settled and be able to ride a race on him. "He's drawn in the middle (stall 12), which shouldn't be too bad." Nero Emperor is the only Irish-trained participant in a field of 20, with Jamaican Bolt, Captain Dunne and Stone Of Folca among the better-fancied home runners.
