Summer break likely for Weapon's Amnesty Impressive RSA Chase winner Weapon's Amnesty has more than likely run his last race of the season. Charles Byrnes' seven-year-old was winning at the Cheltenham Festival for the second successive year after claiming the Albert Bartlett 12 months earlier. While the established stars such as Kauto Star and Denman will be 11 by the time of next season's Gold Cup and the new champion Imperial Commander rising 10, Weapon's Amnesty could be at the top for some time. "Weapon's Amnesty will probably be roughed off for the summer," said Byrnes. "He'd been busy earlier in the season and ran in two Grade Ones at Leopardstown at Christmas and in early February. It would be a long season if we took him to Punchestown as well. "Hopefully we've got a lot to look forward to with him next season. He's only seven. "The talk before was of the RSA being one of the best races of the meeting. Good ground obviously brings out the best in him and a strong-run race definitely helps his jumping too."
