Supreme Novice 1,2 in Greatwood reckoning Menorah and Get Me Out Of Here head 48 entries for the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham on November 14. The pair fought out the finish to the Spinal Research Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival with the former scoring by a head. Others entries of note include the Paul Nicholls-trained Fred Winter Juvenile Novices' Hurdle winner Sanctuaire and Nicky Henderson's Oscar Whiskey. The Noel Meade-trained Silverhand is one of six Irish-trained entries. Donald McCain's Any Given Day, a 10-length winner of the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow on Saturday, is another possible runner. "He's only just run at Chepstow and we've not done much with him since, so we will see how he comes out of that run but the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle is a possibility," the trainer confirmed. "I was surprised by the way he won at Chepstow and he has gone up 10lb for that win, which is fair, because if you win a handicap like that you're going to get it, so it's no problem. "He ran a couple of decent races at Newbury before he headed to Cheltenham for the Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle last March, but he had been busy and on the go a long time by then. As soon as I saw Jason (Maguire) after the race at Cheltenham he said it was definitely one run too many. We gave him a good long break afterwards. "We've schooled him over fences. It's always a possibility that we might go chasing with him but we'll see how the hurdling goes at the moment. "If we were to go to Cheltenham, it's still too far ahead to make jockey plans. I don't know if Jason will be back, so we'll have to see what the score is. Henry Brooke rode him at Chepstow and he's a good kid."
