Team Murphy double-up at Ballinaboola Ashleigh Murphy and her husband Michael had an afternoon to remember at Ballinaboola on Sunday, combining with jockey Gary Murphy to complete a double. Fearless Fracas (10/1) initiated the brace in the opening Monbeg Stables 4yo Maiden, a race connections were also successful in two years ago with If You Say Run. That one has since gone on to win four times in the UK for Paul Nicholls, and it would come as little surprise if Fearless Fracas were to make a similar impression on the racecourse proper. The son of Fracas was a somewhat fortunate winner however, with Methodtothemadness crashing out at the third last when travelling best in front. Pushed along in second at the time, the bay victor had to sidestep that aforementioned rival, before going on to account for newcomer Is A Real Champ (for the race sponsors) by six lengths. Winning owner Michael Murphy said afterwards: "We ran him in a schooling bumper at Monksgrange in the spring, and he showed an awful lot. I ran him twice then but our horses weren't right. They seemed okay, but they weren't, and he didn't perform. "Today I was confident that the horses were well in themselves and I knew he was going to run a big one. I'm very, very pleased with that, he is a special horse. "I suppose someone will want to buy him now, he could be top-class." Team Murphy quickly doubled-up with Cool Destination (5/1) in the Horse & Hound Hotel 5yo Geldings Maiden. Six, fifth and fourth on his first three starts, the son of Dubai Destination raced in mid-division before improving into a share of the lead three out. He was soon left in front by the fall of Spanish Leather, and despite drifting right before the last, he kept on well to prevail by three lengths. Classical Daytime caught the eye, plugging on gamely to take second, while Plan Of Escape, who blundered at the last, was another six lengths back in third. "This doesn’t happened very often!" Murphy revealed. "We did have a double here before though (in January 2012), so it's nice to do it again. "This has been the plan for a while. He ran a nice race on his first run back. He is always staying on toward the end of his races. He needs a good test at a good staying track, and that's what he got here."
