Ted Walsh full of praise for Kennedy Ted Walsh believes teenage jockey Jack Kennedy is as good as he has ever seen for one so young. The 17-year-old rider caught the eye of the Grand National-winning trainer long ago as Kennedy heads to the Cheltenham Festival on top of his form. Walsh, father of star jockey Ruby, told the Daily Mail: "I am 67 now and I have never seen a 17-year-old ride like him. He looks like a seasoned professional. "He is very polished. He came along when Bryan Cooper was out of action and Gordon Elliott's stable was on fire. He is a fine jockey who was in the right place at the right time. "I spotted him before anyone did and thought he could be a bit special. I saw him ride at the Curragh two years ago. He is only a kid but the first time I saw him I had to look him up to see who he was. "I thought he was magic, the way he could use the whip in his left and right hand. "He is as good with either hand and there are very few who can do that."
