Third time lucky for Floresta The Johnny Murtagh-trained Floresta quickened up in fine style to open her account in the median auction fillies maiden at Limerick. 2/1 favourirte Tenoya made swift progress to lead after half-a-mile in the mile-three contest but had no answer when Florest swooped past with over a furlong-and-a-half to run. The Waldgeist filly soon settled matters for Seamie Heffernan to post a comprehensive two-and-three-parts-of-a-length win over Lifting Sails. Heffernan said of the 5/2 winner:- “Anyone that has anything to do with her likes her. “She had a good run the last day and Johnny said today she was ready for it. “He said to ask her to pop and sit in the box seat. He said she’ll quicken or she’ll stay so it doesn’t really matter what way the race goes. He just said to ride her with confidence. “He’s got some lovely, big, gorgeous horses so hopefully the owners have a bit of patience and we’ll get everything out of them.”
