Stephen Thorne is favouring a trip to Galway for Gleneagle Bay, with the five-year-old also engaged at Ascot over the weekend.

Now in the ownership of AMO Racing, the former Joseph O'Brien inmate finished 10th of 27 when last seen in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

"He is entered in the International at Ascot (on Saturday) but we might wait for the Ahonoora Handicap at Galway," Thorne commented at the Curragh on Sunday.

"I need to discuss it with AMO Racing's Kia Joorabchian but I feel he could be made for the Ahonoora over a stiff seven and he handles juice in the ground.

"He's due a big pot and hopefully it comes soon!"
