Tizzard bolstered by New To This Town Trainer Colin Tizzard is pleased to have have added former Jessica Harrington inmate New To This Town to his team for this season. The six-year-old was snapped up by owner Alan Potts and his late wife Ann after winning his first two starts in National Hunt Flat races at Thurles and Gowran Park and was consequently a leading contender for the Champion Bumper at the 2016 Cheltenham Festival. He disappointed at Prestbury Park and failed to open his account in five races over hurdles last season, but Tizzard expects him to make an impact as a novice chaser this term. The Dorset-based trainer told Press Association Sport: "H e came here after Punchestown. "Seeing how he jumps it wouldn't surprise me if we go straight over fences with him. "He is a good horse, there is no two ways about that. "He will be ready to go at the end of the month."
