Treble for Maguire at Sedgefield Jason Maguire continued his fine start to the new English jumps season with a short-priced hat-trick from his three rides at Sedgefield. The early pace-setter in the title race while champion Tony McCoy is out injured, Maguire took his tally to 14 with a near 5-1 treble on Aazif, Any Given Day and Valleyofmilan, all trained by Donald McCain. Irish jockey Maguire had bounced back after an injury scare following a fall at Kempton on Sunday when guiding Mrs Peachey to victory on Monday evening and carried on the good work with success on Aazif (1-5) in the opening Paxtons & Case IH A Winning Team Novices' Hurdle at the Durham track. Any Given Day (evens) in the Paxtons & JCB A Winning Team Novices' Chase and Valleyofmilan (7-4) in the Paxtons Supporting Customers With Peregrine Finance Maiden Hurdle completed the Maguire trio. "All three of them won well. If they were all as easy as that it would be a great game," he said.
