Trigger looks 'very good' on debut Our Trigger made an impressive winning debut in the concluding bumper at Gowran Park this afternoon, giving Willie Mullins a double on the card. The full-brother to Gaelic Warrior was sent to post a 2/5 shot in the PJ Foley Memorial and was soon prominent and disputing for Patrick Mullins. All four of the runners were almost in line turning for home in the two-miler, with Huntin Boots getting squeezed up a bit. Our Trigger was asked to kick on over a furlong from home and soon settled matters, quickening away for an easy six-length success over Huntin Boots. The winning rider quipped:- "We were turning in with a bit of trouble, so I thought: 'play it cool Trig'! "I think he is very good, is incredibly like his brother in his mannerisms at home and also how he carries his head. He handles that heavy ground no bother, is a very mature four-year-old and I was hoping he would do that. "We'll definitely enter him for the Cheltenham Bumper and we'll see what Willie decides. I think on soft ground is where he'll be at his best and he goes through it very easily. "I think he is very, very good." The winner was quoted at 10/1 (from 16/1) for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
