Truckers trainer inspects Tuesday Ferdy Murphy trainer of Truckers Tavern, runner up in this year´s Cheltenham Gold Cup has delayed by 24 hours his visit to Down Royal Racecourse to check conditions are acceptable in advance of his stable star contesting the feature race, the Grade 1 James Nicholson Wine Merchant Champion Chase at the Northern Ireland Festival of Racing.The Yorkshire trainer had intended checking the going today but said ' I have revised plans and will pop over tomorrow morning. I understand the course was well watered last week and they had some rain at the weekend”. The forfeit/supplementary stage for the Festival feature race is today.
