    2.40 - Diego El Queso

Aidan O'Brien has one runner on Navan's card on Tuesday in the shape of Mississippi River and it would be no surprise if he went off a very warm order, but there's reason to believe Diego El Queso could get the better of him.

Trained by Ger Lyons, the son of Blue Point was in need of the run when sixth of 16 at Naas on his debut 16 days ago, finishing around eight lengths behind the aforementioned Ballydoyle runner in that 7f maiden, which was in testing conditions.

It was clearly a learning job for Diego El Queso on the day, who was restrained in rear early before making eyecatching headway late on.

Colin Keane takes over from Gary Carroll, which is another plus, and his pedigree suggests he will improve for a step up in trip.

Tip: Diego El Queso @ 10/1 with bet365

    3.40 - The Truant

This 1m6f handicap is a competitive affair, but one runner who looks well handicapped and won't mind quick conditions is The Truant and Paul Flynn's eight-year-old could be the answer.

The son of Mastercraftsman won't lack fitness, having raced twice in March when midfield in a 2m handicap on the all-weather at Dundalk and more recently when a good fourth in a 2m handicap hurdle at Limerick 16 days ago.

The Truant is back down to a mark of 64 on turf, 1lb lower than when runner-up at the Curragh over 2m last summer, and just 2lb higher than his runner-up finish here over 1m5f last May.

He doesn't have a particularly impressive strike-rate, but with conditions in his favour he is worthy of an each-way investment here at what should be decent odds.

    4.50 - Hurricane Helen

The 1m2f apprentice handicap is another big puzzle, but Hurricane Helen is worth an each-way bet down near the bottom of the weights for trainer Chris Timmons, with Robert Whearty aboard.

The seven-year-old mare has only raced on the all-weather at Dundalk since November, going close in a handicap there at the end of that month, but she has plenty of good form on turf.

Hurricane Helen won a 1m1f handicap at Cork on fast ground last August from a mark of 60 despite being hampered on several occasions - a reproduction of that form would see her very nicely treated here off just 3lb higher.

She is yet to race at Navan, so will have to prove her suitability for the track, but she will be fitter than a good few of her rivals in this contest and she ticks plenty of boxes.
