Twice Over on course for World Cup

Henry Cecil believes Twice Over will improve for his win in the third round of the Al Maktoum Challenge when he takes part in the Dubai World Cup.

Well beaten in the big race last year when having his first ever outing on the Tapeta surface, Cecil changed his preparation this time around.

Drawn ride under Tom Queally, he oozed class in beating a decent field and the dual Champion Stakes winner will be a tough but to crack on March 26.

"I was delighted with his run in the Al Maktoum Challenge as I thought he was forward enough to give a good account of himself, but would come on from the race," said the Newmarket handler on his website, www.henrycecil.com

"Also it was a trial to see how he would handle the surface and track this time.

"He has come out of the race in good form and, all being well, will go for the Dubai World Cup."
