The feature at Sligo was the  Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Handicap which saw Lady Mairen gain a first success at odds of 11/2.

Robert Moran's daughter of Dubawi had smart juvenile form but missed out on her three-year-old season, returning to action when sixth at Bellewstown last month.

Here, ridden close to the pace over the extended ten-furlong trip by Billy Lee, she led before the straight and was ridden out to beat Chica Guerrera by a length and a-half.

There was plenty of market support for Joseph O'Brien's French import Yulia (9/2 into 11/4 favourite) but, after travelling well, she got no run on the inside in the home straight.

Winning trainer Paddy Twomey said "I knew she had come on from her run the last day, and I felt she wasn't harshly treated on her two-year-old form. I felt that, with a clear run around, she'd go close and I'm delighted to win this race. I won before for Robert With Rosscarbery (in 2022).

"I had her in the Vintage Tipple (at Gowran on Tuesday) which might have seemed like tilting at windmills before today, but I do think she's capable of getting black type at anywhere between a mile and a-quarter and a mile-six."

"My horses seem to be coming to hand, which is great."

Twomey and Lee had combined earlier to win with County Carlow
