Orla Tynan rode out her 10lb claim as Kitty Bear provided the young rider with her third career victory at odds of 14/1 in the Join Us On Our Social Channels Handicap at Dundalk.

The Andy Slattery-trained filly quickened to the front on the outer early in the straight and kept on well inside the final furlong to hold off Imperial Fighter by half a length. Profit Surge couldn’t find any extra in the closing stages and finished the same distance further back in third.

Tynan said, “She deserves that. I knew she was in good form at home, so delighted. She was flying it during the week in her work.

"The last day she got close, just a bit unlucky.

"I had a wide draw, and sometimes she can be a bit slow into stride. She jumped and I got her a bit more settled than the last day.

"There's a very big crosswind when you turn into the straight.”
