UK meetings update Wednesday's meeting at Chepstow has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track. Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen had planned to inspect at 8.30am on raceday but he has made an early call after the track received more rain than expected overnight. He said: "We had some heavy rain overnight and this morning and the forecast for tomorrow has worsened as well. We are waterlogged now and there's no point in wasting people's time any further. We were hoping for a bit of a break but in light of the forecast, we're not going to get there." Thursday's meeting at Fontwell has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track. Clerk of the course Edward Arkell had planned to inspect the track at 9am but was able to make an earlier call after a further five millimetres of rain overnight, with more forecast before the fixture. He said: "We had another 5mm overnight which makes it 108mm in February and 524mm since December 14. We have just got to stage where we can't take any more rain and further heavy rain is expected. It's very disappointing to lose the meeting."
