Hugely progressive filly Vespertilio has options in France and the Breeders Cup after again pleasing trainer Willie McCreery with a second placed effort in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last weekend.

Most impressive with a stylish victory in the Group Two Debutante Stakes also at HQ prior to that, the Night Of Thunder juvenile split UK raiders Fallen Angel and Ornellaia in the Moyglare, and indeed was comfortably best of the home team.

McCreery reflected: "She's had four quick runs and has improved immensely with each run.

"I'm not sure if she will run again this season and I'll have to talk with the owner.

"She could go to France or the Breeders Cup, but would have to be supplemented for both so we'll think about it."

Looking back at the Champions Festival silver medal for the Al Shira'aa Farms-owned French-bred, McCreery commented: "She ran a lovely race and I was very happy with her. If you take the winner out of it we have beaten everything else by four and a half lengths.

"She got a bump early on which probably didn't help her either but she has a great attitude."
