Vic & Bob among 25 for bet365 Gold Cup The Dessie Hughes trained duo of Vic Venturi and Rare Bob are among 25 entries for Saturday's bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown. The 12yo Vic Venturi won two point-to-point's this year and was last seen refusing at the 19th fence in the Grand National at Aintree. Rare Bob was also last seen in the Aintree National where he was brought down at the fifth. The Paul Nicholls' trained Tidal Bay has top-weight for the contest formerly known as the Whitbread, and could be joined in the race by stablemate Aldertune. Evan Williams' Deep Purple and Alan King's West End Rocker are two more of several entries who were last seen in the John Smith's Grand National. Also engaged are Welsh National winner Le Beau Bai as well Emma Lavelle's Qianshan Leader.
