The William Hill Each-Way Extra Series comes to a close at Kilbeggan on Friday and our Editor Vincent Finegan has selected his NAP and NB to round off an excellent grass-roots initiative.

Philip Rothwell looks set to take the trainers’ prize of €50,000, while Philip Enright is currently two points ahead of Daniel King in the jockeys' title.

Gaoth Chuil (Nap) 6.59 Kilbeggan

Ted Walsh’s Gaoth Chuil looks to have strong credentials in the penultimate race in the William Hill Each Way Extra Series. She was runner-up in a chase over the course last year and has winning form around Tramore which all bodes well for racing around this tight right-handed track. She ran a decent race at Clonmel last month, when second to Kilbarry Saint, and the extra couple of furlongs here will suit her very well.

Ballybrittas (Next Best) 7.29 Kilbeggan

With big money up for grabs in the Jockey, Trainer and Stablestaff divisions of the William Hill Each Way Extra Series it looks highly significant that Tiernan Power Roche rides Ballybrittas in preference to stablemate Duffeys Hodey in the final race of the Series. Power Roche is in line for a big paycheck sitting in third place in the Jockeys’ standings and an opening quote of 33/1 from William Hill about Ballybrittas looks generous in the circumstances. This horse, racing in the silks made famous by Hardy Eustace, is a dual point-to-point winner on decent ground and can be expected to improve from a recent comeback run.
