Wachman Planning French Raid

Indesatchel is pleasing trainer David Wachman as he works towards a comeback in the Group One Prix de la Foret at Longchamp on October 1st.

The three-year-old has been off the track since finishing a disappointing last of eight runners in the St James´s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot at York.

Jockey Jamie Spencer was never happy with him that day with the colt having previously chased home Shamardal in the French 2000 Guineas after a hat-trick of wins, including victory in the Tetrarch and Greenham Stakes.

Wachman has given Indesatchel a rest since his run on the Knavesmire and is now targeting the seven-furlong contest on Arc weekend for him.

'He´s good. He worked this morning and worked well since coming back from his break after Royal Ascot,' Wachman told At The Races on Thursday.

'He really wants a bit of ease in the ground so there´s been no rush to run him over the summer.

'Hopefully we will aim him for the Group One over seven in France on Arc weekend, the Prix de la Foret.'

Fracas, another leading light for the Wachman yard this season, is unlikely to be seen again until next year.
