Walsh Aiming For Christmas Return

Ruby Walsh hopes to be back in action in time for the big Christmas meetings after dislocating his right shoulder in a fall at Navan.

The Irish jump jockey sustained the injury when falling from McGruders Cross in the Leinster Petroleum European Breeders Fund Beginners Chase on Sunday.

He came to grief four from home on the Anthony Mullins-trained seven-year-old and was taken to hospital for X-rays.

His agent and sister Jennifer Walsh said: 'He had the shoulder put back in place at Navan Hospital and he´ll be out for three or four weeks, but he should be back for Christmas.'

The first major ride Walsh misses out on will be Kauto Star for Paul Nicholls in the William Hill - Tingle Creek Trophy Chase at Sandown on Saturday.
