Walsh Makes Kauto Comeback Ruby Walsh is to return from injury in time for the ride on Kauto Star in Tuesday´s William Hill Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter. The Irishman chipped a bone in his elbow at Aintree last weekend and was thought to be out for several weeks but has been given the all-clear to partner Paul Nicholls´ promising chaser. He is expected to ride Southern Vic for his father Ted at Galway on Monday before resuming his partnership with Kauto Star, who has also been sidelined with injury. 'It´s great news,' Nicholls told the Racing Post. 'Ruby half-warned me it was a possibility but I wasn´t holding my breath as he had to have a scan to confirm it. 'However he told me yesterday that he planned to ride for his dad on Monday and then he´ll be at Exeter on Tuesday for Kauto Star - I couldn´t be happier.' After an impressive British debut at Newbury, Kauto Star suffered a setback after falling and being remounted to finish second at the Devon track in January. ? PA Sport
