Waterlogged Hexham called off

The Conor O'Dwyer-trained Luimneach (7/2) was an easy-as-you-like winner of the Sign Up To Gavin Lynch Racing.com Handicap Chase for jockey Charlie O'Dwyer. Luimneach, who has been in terrific form this summer with success in Kilbeggan and a good second in Wexford, put in a nice performance, beating the 129-rated It's Bilbo by seven lengths.

The Andy Slattery-trained Sir Allen (18/1) was a deserved winner of the SIS Supporting Irish Racing Beginners Chase for rider Philip Donovan, who replaced the injured Cian Quirke. The seven-year-old had some good form as a juvenile hurdler but became slightly frustrating, performing well without winning. The Willie Mullins-trained Bon Viveur led throughout the contest and looked to still have more in the tank when coming down in the straight, which left it to Sir Allen, who kept the odds-on favourite Arcadian Emperor (4/6) at bay to win by four and a quarter lengths.

A double on the day for jockey Paul Townend and trainer Willie Mullins as the Donnelly-owned Fou De Toi (11/10) was an emphatic winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase.
