Wincanton called off after third inspection Today's meeting at Wincanton has been cancelled after the track failed a third inspection at 11.30am. After sub-zero temperatures overnight, some areas of the track were found to be frozen. Officials were hoping that temperatures might rise enough over the course of the morning to render the affected areas raceable, but unfortunately that didn't prove to be the case. Sandown will now be the sole jumps meeting in Britain today, with an all-weather Flat card at Lingfield already under way and another at Southwell due to take place this evening.
